Biography
Casey McPherson launched Alpha Rev in Austin, TX in 2005, assembling the group after the end of his prior outfit Endochine. He sought an optimistic channel for family hardships by directing the band toward an uplifting strain of alternative rock. The self-titled EP surfaced in 2006; the following year brought the full-length debut The Greatest Thing I Ever Learned, first issued independently and later reworked with a new sequence when Sea Change Records reissued it in 2008. After McPherson placed Alpha Rev on Hollywood Records in 2008, the act recorded its sophomore album with Grammy-winning producer David Kahne, and the finished set reached stores in 2010.
