Biography
Angel Haze, the New York-based project that shifted from poetry into rap, displays a self-awareness and confidence rare outside far older artists. Its distinctly East Coast raw approach draws on intimate self-knowledge to move between contrasting sides of personality, alternating emotional openness with sudden bursts of aggression. The resulting lyrical ability entered the rap arena via the 2012 album Reservation.
