Hailing from South Africa, Angel-Ho crafts experimental club music that explores transgender identity, oppression, solidarity, and resistance. Her output merges industrial textures with propulsive club beats, resulting in work that feels chaotic, abrasive, and deliberately confrontational. She co-established NON Worldwide alongside Nkisi and Chino Amobi; the platform serves as a network for artists connected to the African diaspora. After shaping an early aesthetic through abstract projects like the 2015 EP Ascension, Angel-Ho delivered her first proper album with Death Becomes Her in 2019, a tighter record distinguished by her commanding, forthright vocal presence.

Based in Cape Town, the artist initially appeared via 2015’s Ascension, a bracing EP mastered by Arca and issued on Rabit’s Halcyon Veil imprint. Two further 2016 releases—the four-track Emancipation EP and the mix-file Red Devil—followed, while Angel-Ho also worked with Dedekind Cut and supplied a remix for Lotic. Strong interest prompted a vinyl edition of Red Devil in 2017. Once signed to Hyperdub, Angel-Ho unveiled the ambitious and electrifying Death Becomes Her, her debut full-length, in 2019.
