Biography
At seventeen, Angela Ammons landed a deal with Abrupt/Universal in 2001 to cut her first album. A California visit had produced a set of demos through a string of fortunate events, and she submitted those recordings to the label. Abrupt/Universal then matched her with producers Shep and Kenny, whose prior credits included Mandy Moore, LFO, and Marcy Playground, for a pop/rock project that drew favorable comparisons to Jessica Simpson. Ammons placed her debut single on the American Pie 2 soundtrack ahead of the album’s release.
