Biography
While studying geology, Colombian Antonio Arnedo grew so captivated by jazz that he entered the local scene through a partnership with Francisco Zumaqué. The pair launched the Macumbia ensemble, which soon appeared with Bogota's Philharmonic Orchestra. Antonio Arnedo delivered his first live performance in 1994 and reached New York stages a year later. Merging jazz, classical music, and Colombian folklore, the talented sax player issued Travesía in 1996, Orígenes in 1997, and Encuentros in 1998. He also contributed to Carlos Vives' successful album Clásicos de la Provincia.
