Biography
Asia Argento has built a career spanning acting, directing, modeling, novel writing, journalism, and music. As the child of the renowned Italian filmmaker Dario Argento, she amassed a substantial body of work both on screen and off before turning her attention to song. Her initial foray into recording came in 2008, when she joined Placebo frontman Brian Molko for a duet cover of Serge Gainsbourg’s “Je T’Aime...Moi Non Plus.” The following year she lent her voice to Femina, an album by Paulo Furtado under his Legendary Tiger Man moniker; her contributions appear on the single “Life Ain’t Enough for You” as well as the B-side “My Stomach Is the Most Violent of All Italy,” a track she co-wrote. In spring 2013 Argento issued her first full-length release, Total Entropy.
