Daniela Gitto expresses her artistic vision through Aunty Social, an alt-pop project whose lush and pulsing sound has explored emotional terrain across multiple releases, among them the 2020 project The Day My Brain Broke.
Born in Toronto, Gitto issued her first recording, the track "You Seem Different," in 2018; the song secured a recording contract with Nettwerk the next year. The act’s debut EP, The Day My Brain Broke, incorporated work by producer and collaborator Sam Arion and reached the label in March 2020.
