Biography
From a pool of 40,000 vocalists and rappers with dreams of success, MTV zeroed in on six contestants for its Making the Band series in 2003. The selected members—Babs (Lynese Wiley), Dylan (Dylan John), Freddrick (Frederick Watson), Ness (Lloyd Mathis), Sara (Sara Stokes), and Young City (Rodney "Chopper" Hill)—were chosen to join P. Diddy's Bad Boy empire. Their debut album, Too Hot for T.V. from 2003, arrived only after a full season of the program aired, chronicling the tension-filled episodes that followed the group through cheesecake runs, internal clashes, and studio sessions leading to the record's completion.
