Biography
LaRon James first entered the world in Harlem, where the lively Juelz Santana sharpened his abilities as an MC in the duo Draft Pick. Breakthrough success arrived only in 2000, after Cam'ron extended him a featured appearance on S.D.E.'s "Double Up." He soon joined Cam'ron's Diplomats, delivered multiple guest verses across other MCs' recordings, and unveiled his debut full-length, From Me to U, in 2003. The standout cut "Dipset (Santana's Town)" registered only faint chart movement despite its clear superiority over the rest of the album. He maintained a steady presence on the Diplomats' widely circulated mixtapes ahead of his sophomore release, What the Game's Been Missing!, which surfaced in November 2005 and advanced into the Billboard album chart's Top Ten.
