Bananas In Pyjamas

Emerging first in Australia during 1992, Bananas in Pyjamas quickly became a widely syndicated children's series. Its central figures, the twins B1 and B2, shared adventures alongside the Teddies and Rat-in-a-Hat inside the storybook community of Cuddles Avenue. Each installment placed strong emphasis on musical numbers and audience sing-alongs. Global distribution followed, yet the program reached American viewers in the mid-'90s only after its title spelling shifted to "Pajamas." Capitol released the 1996 compilation It's Singing Time, drawn from Bananas in Pajamas recordings. One year later came the sequel A-Bumping and A-Jumping, and further albums appeared under both "Pyjamas" and "Pajamas" spellings well into the 21st century.
