Big Twins

Originating from N.Y.C.'s Queensbridge Projects, where he was born and raised, Big Twins—also known as Twin Gambino—belongs to the Infamous Mobb and maintains a longstanding connection to Mobb Deep. His earliest appearance came on the 1996 Mobb Deep album Hell on Earth, specifically on the track “Animal Instinct.” He launched his Infamous Mobb tenure in 2002 via the Special Edition album and followed that with a solo contribution to the Fat Beats, Vol. 2 compilation alongside underground acts Atmosphere, J-Zone, and Quasimoto. That same year he linked with Mobb producer the Alchemist for a spot on Slum Village's Dirty District mixtape. In 2004 Big Twins featured on Alchemist's 1st Infantry and served as official MC for the accompanying tour. The pair next surfaced on Dilated Peoples' Evidence and the 2005 release Another Sound Mission. Subsequent guest spots included Big Shug's 2007 album Streetchamp and Prodigy's H.N.I.C., Pt. 2 in 2008. Big Twins' own 2008 mixtape The Grimey Collection drew contributions from Alchemist, Evidence, Prodigy, Mobb Deep partner Havoc, and producer Sid Roams.
