Billy Harvey

Originating in Evanston, Illinois, singer and songwriter Billy Harvey underwent repeated childhood relocations before completing high school in Chicago. After graduation he headed to San Francisco with the goal of assembling a band. Living from a VW van, he joined Flame, a group that lasted six years and issued two records. Though he had never fronted vocals, the songs he composed during that span led him to begin solo appearances throughout the Bay Area. The setting felt mismatched, prompting a move to Austin, Texas, where he has since collaborated with Trish Murphy, Kacy Crowley, and Steve Poltz. His output comprises the More Happy Than Sad EP plus the full-length albums Toast and Pie.
