Bizzey co-established the Dutch DJ collective Yellow Claw and devoted multiple years to collaborative work with the group before stepping forward as a solo artist during 2017. His independent output wove together hip-hop, electronic textures, Latin rhythms, and assorted underground club influences. Breakthrough standalone releases such as the Yung Felix-produced “Drama” and the viral sensation “Traag” paved the way for his first album, November, which arrived in 2018.

Leonardo Roelandschap entered the world in 1985 and spent his childhood in Amersfoort within the Netherlands’ Utrecht province. Because his father operated the local record store, Roelandschap gravitated toward music at a young age, penning original raps and practicing breakdancing through his early teens. Public attention arrived via 2006 collaborations with producer Don Diablo that yielded online favorites including “This Way (Too Many Times)” and several additional tracks. Performing as Bizzey or DJ Bizzey, he joined Nizzle and Jim Aasgier to form Yellow Claw in 2010. The ensemble attained global recognition, and Bizzey logged extensive road time and studio sessions while the group’s profile rose.

Now a father, Bizzey exited Yellow Claw in 2017 to launch a solo career granting him more time at home. Early singles—“Lovesong,” “JA!,” “Shaka Zulu,” and the widely circulated club hit “Traag”—each amassed millions of streams, video views, and club plays worldwide. Early in 2018 he delivered his debut album November, the most comprehensive showcase of his varied approach to that point. Guest contributions came from Dopebwoy, Chivv, Prince Ehis, and numerous others.
