Frenna

Originating from The Hague, the Dutch rapper Francis Edusei—born in 1991 and also known by the alias Balmainpapi—first rose to attention as frontman of the hip-hop collective SFB. He assembled the group, whose full name is Strictly Family Business, during the early 2010s together with fellow rappers KM, Jandro, and Priceless. Their debut mixtape, Reset the Levels, brought regional recognition in 2014 and secured the collective a spot on the 2015 New Wave project alongside other emerging Dutch artists including Ronnie Flex and Lil' Kleine. After 2015, Frenna pursued a solo path by gathering an array of features and joint ventures, which supplied enough original material for his debut album, Geen Oog Dichtgedaan, in 2016. SFB delivered its second studio album, 77 Nachten, the following year, and Frenna issued his own sophomore effort, Francis, in 2018, highlighted by the hit single "Speciaal."
