Jonna Fraser

Born in 1992, Dutch rapper Jonna Fraser spent his formative years in the Northern Holland town of Zaandam. Drawn early to hip-hop, he absorbed the genre deeply enough that his first release, the 2014 EP Maatje 45, arrived just two years later. Shaped by the slow-and-low aesthetic of trap alongside the melodic contours of smooth R&B, that project marked the beginning of his recording career. In 2015 his debut full-length Alle Tijd reached number 17 on the Dutch MidPrice Top 50. By the following year Fraser had established himself as a consistent presence on domestic charts: his second album Goed Teken entered the national Top 100, and joint tracks with Monica Geuze as well as the Dutch rap crew Broederliefde likewise appeared on the listings. Only months afterward he issued his third studio album, Blessed. Leaning further toward R&B and pop, the record claimed the top position on the Dutch album charts and yielded the singles “Verwijderd,” “Ik Kom Bij Je,” and “Update.”
