Broederliefde

Hailing from Rotterdam's Spangen district, a group of childhood friends launched the Dutch pop-rap outfit Broederliefde, a name that means brotherly love. Their initial bond centered on athletics and casual hangouts until Emms began rapping, prompting the others to follow suit and quickly turning the crew into a familiar local presence that expanded across Rotterdam by 2012. Hundreds of thousands of YouTube streams for their first tracks paved the way for a self-titled mixtape issued in late 2012, which secured a contract with Universal. Their major-label entrance arrived via the EP Gevoelig Feestje during summer 2014, when it reached number three on the Dutch albums chart. Hard Work Pays Off, a full-length LP, appeared the next year, and the follow-up Hard Work Pays Off 2 claimed the top spot on the Netherlands chart in 2016.
