Biography
Born in Amsterdam, the rapper Lange Frans—whose given name is Frans Christiaan Frederiks—established the D-Men toward the end of the 1990s. Following the group’s early recordings, he and fellow member Baas B continued as a duo from 2004 to 2009. Lange Frans subsequently launched a solo career, issuing Levenslied in 2012; the album climbed to number seven on the Dutch albums chart, driven by the Top Five single “Zing Voor Me.” He has also hosted television programs, among them Veronica Poker and Lange Frans Stelt Kamervragen.
