Biography
Brian Stokes Mitchell, recognized equally as an actor and vocalist, has appeared across a wide range of Broadway and television projects, among them Man of la Mancha and Kiss Me Kate, the latter of which earned him a Tony Award. Seattle-born, he developed his skills throughout his youth in San Diego by working with multiple local theater companies. Relocating to Los Angeles in the late 1970s placed him within the entertainment sphere, after which he accumulated numerous screen credits that included a seven-year role on the medical series Trapper John, MD. Though he had already contributed to cast recordings, his first solo album under his own name arrived via RCA in 2006.
