Biography
In Rio de Janeiro the soul outfit Brylho carved out a brief yet impactful presence within the genre. Previously billed as Brylho da Cidade, the ensemble stepped forward under its shortened name in 1983 with the release of a debut album that secured nationwide attention through the popular track “Noite do Prazer.” The following year the group supplied music for the Lael Rodrigues film Bete Balanço. After the band dissolved in 1986, Arnaldo Brandão launched Hanói-Hanói while Cláudio Zoli launched a solo career.
