Biography
In Olympia, Washington, singer/guitarist Jon Merithew joined forces with Melvins bassist Joe Preston and drummer Brad Balsley to establish the hard rock trio C Average. Although the group first appeared on record in 1998 via a self-titled LP for Kill Rock Stars, its widest recognition came from regularly supporting Pearl Jam frontman Eddie Vedder at his infrequent solo shows. After bassist Tim Brown replaced Preston, C Average released its second album in 2000; Second Reckoning then arrived on Kill Rock Stars in early 2001.
