Caro

Hailing from Leeds, the English indie rock outfit Caro—made up of guitarist/vocalist Adam Parday, drummer Bryn Jenkins, and bassist Andrew Thomson—first appeared in 2016 through the nervy, atmospheric single "Cold Comfort," which set introspective lyrics against offbeat rhythms and sinewy treated guitars. Their debut full-length, Burrows, followed four years afterward.

That same year the trio issued "Cold Comfort" and "Admit/Resist," prompting favorable comparisons to fellow acts such as Alt-J, Everything Everything, and Bombay Bicycle Club. "Eyes on the Ground" and "Closet Lunatic" arrived in 2017, with "Lick Your Lips" emerging the year after. Once the group signed to Yala Records, the imprint launched by the Maccabees' Felix White, they delivered 2020's Burrows, a collection that gathered every earlier single.
