In the 1980s, Larry Blackmon of Cameo moved to Atlanta and placed Ca$hflow on the roster of his Atlanta Artists imprint. The ensemble merged funk, rap, and urban contemporary approaches while showcasing lead vocalist Kary Hubbert, with support from drummer Gaylord Parson, keyboardist James Duffie, and keyboardist Regis Ferguson. Their first album, Ca$hflow, generated the moderate 1986 hit “Mine All Mine,” which registered solid international and club traction yet failed to engage R&B listeners. A second album, Big Money, followed in 1988.
