Biography
CDB emerged as Australia's pioneering all-male vocal group by merging R&B grooves with soulful textures and polished harmonies, drawing parallels to the era's leading acts like Boyzone, Boyz II Men, and Past to Present. The quartet first assembled in 1991 and spent the next three years honing their craft through repeated performances across Melbourne, eventually securing a recording contract with Sony in 1994. Their initial full-length project, Glide With Me, arrived the following year and yielded four Top 20 singles nationwide, among them a platinum-certified cover of Earth, Wind and Fire's "Let's Groove" that surpassed 70,000 units and earned Highest Selling Single honors at the 1996 ARIA Awards. Subsequent performances across Korea, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, the Philippines, and Fiji proved equally successful in those markets. The band's second album, Lifted, followed in 1997.
