Biography
Charlie Landsborough launched his musical journey in the 1960s by performing with the Chicago Sect, yet the country and folk musician did not attain widespread recognition until the middle of the 1990s. Charles Alexander Landsborough entered the world in Birkenhead, England, during 1941 and enlisted in the Chicago Sect during his army service while posted in Germany. After his return to England he took up teaching and composed and staged his material whenever schedules permitted. Everything shifted in 1994 upon the appearance of his moving single "What Colour Is the Wind?" The track reached number one in Ireland and sold strongly throughout England, Australia, and New Zealand, securing Landsborough a recording contract that led to ten albums across the following decade and beyond along with three victories at the BMCA Best Male Vocalist Award. Under Blue Skies arrived in 2008 and registered inside the Top 100 on the U.K. chart while reaching the Top 25 in Ireland.
