Biography
Born on February 9, 1966, in Wuppertal, Germany, Christoph Maria Herbst works as a German actor and comedian. His initial recognition arrived via the 1997 television comedy program Sketchup -- The Next Generation, followed by a supporting part in Ladykracher between 2002 and 2004. That same year he secured the central role in the series Stromberg, the German counterpart to the acclaimed British production The Office. Additional screen credits from 2004 encompass three feature films: Michael Herbig’s Star Trek parody (T)Raumschiff Surprise -- Periode 1 (Dreamship Surprise: Period 1), Helmut Dietl’s Vom Suchen und Finden der Liebe (About the Looking for and the Finding of Love), and Tobi Baumann’s Der Wixxer. Herbst has also lent his voice to audio-book adaptations of Tommy Jaud novels, specifically Vollidiot (2004), Resturlaub (2006), and Millionär (2007).
