The boast in Conway's signature single "Monsta Flow," declaring he had "more hits than Motown," marked the West Coast rapper's lone major success, which arrived via the Motown label itself. In 2004 the MC aligned with Universal Motown Music Group for the release of his track "The Nut Cracker." Later that year "Monsta Flow" followed, built around a sample of the theme from the Munsters TV show. Both singles appeared on Conway's debut album, How the West Was One, also issued in 2004.
