Biography
Since establishing the punk group Terrible Twos back in 2005, Craig Brown has remained a steady presence within Detroit’s rock community. He went on to issue a pair of albums alongside that outfit, took part in several additional endeavors, and spent an extended period working behind the bar in the Motor City before launching his initial solo project, the Craig Brown Band, whose loose, honky-tonk leanings define its sound. Eric Allen on guitar, Andrew Hecker on bass, Jeff Perry, and the vocal contributions of sisters Caitlin and Bonnie Drinkard bolster Brown’s gritty vocal delivery and guitar presence. The group soon aligned with Jack White’s Third Man Records, which issued the band’s first full-length effort, The Lucky Ones Forget, during the first months of 2017.
