Biography
In the rap underground, where partnerships abound, the Danger Doom duo united producer Danger Mouse—known for his work with Gorillaz and a widely noted production career—with rapper MF Doom, who operates under a half-dozen aliases each boasting full-length releases. Their album The Mouse and the Mask showcased a synergy between their skills that exceeded expectations given the unusual pairing. Work on the Danger Doom endeavor actually began 18 months ahead of the record's launch, as the pair committed to collaborating remotely through the mail, incorporating vocal contributions from the animated figures featured on Cartoon Network's Adult Swim programming. This extended development phase paid off when the album surfaced via Epitaph during October 2005.
