Biography
Growing up in Waco, TX, where he played piano and drums at his local church, MC and producer S1 (Symbolyc One) saw his cousin Myth (Mythological), another MC, as the obvious choice when he decided to form a band. Their project Symbolic Elementz yielded little, yet in 1998 S1 encountered Myone at work; when the cousins later headed to the studio, Myone came along. His contribution to a single track made the three recognize their strong chemistry, leading them to name the group Strange Fruit Project after the Billie Holiday song of the same title. The resulting album Soul Travelin' appeared in 2004. Their 2005 collaboration with Ghostface Killah on the track "Milk 'Em" brought wider critical notice, and in 2006 Om Records signed the act, issuing The Healing that year.
