Biography
The electro-dance-art rock duo Dangerous Muse, based in New York City, originated when vocalist Mike Furey and programmer/keyboardist Tom Napack encountered each other by chance during a casting for the Who's Tommy. Bound by a common taste for drama and dance, the pair generated the track "Rejection," which reached legendary music guru Seymour Stein and led him to offer them a three-song demo deal at Sire. Dangerous Muse then entered the studio to capture those three songs, after which the group secured a record deal with Cordless, an electronic imprint of Warner Music Group. The Rejection EP appeared with its video in 2005, and a collection of remixes followed in 2006.
