Biography
Does It Offend You, Yeah? emerged as an electronic-driven rock outfit rooted in Reading and London, where their explosive concerts and propulsive sound evoked the likes of !!!, LCD Soundsystem, and Digitalism. After inking a deal with Virgin, the group issued its debut full-length, You Have No Idea What You're Getting Yourself Into, in 2008; that release bundled a complimentary digital copy of the Live @ the Fez EP. Drummer Rob Bloomfield, synth player Dan Coop, multi-instrumentalist Morgan Quaintance on vocals, synth, and guitar, plus bassist James Rushent hit the road early that year, backing the Cribs on the NME Awards Tour. Quaintance departed the following year, with Matty Derham of Fields and Chloe Duveaux of Elle Milano stepping in as replacements. The quartet’s follow-up, Don’t Say We Didn’t Warn You, surfaced in early 2011, led by the advance single “The Monkeys Are Coming.”
