Biography
In the opening months of 2004, bassist Joel Stone joined forces with guitarist and singer Joe Reeves, keyboardist Jan Lee, and drummer Darren Cullen—who also played cutlery—to establish Shitdisco in Glasgow. Drawing equally from current dance-punk textures and the post-punk lineage of earlier acts, the quartet cultivated a devoted audience through low-key channels, while their occasional concerts quickly built a reputation as essential live experiences. Fierce Panda issued the band’s first recording, Disco Blood, in 2005. The follow-up single Reactor Party arrived the next year in October.
