Emerging as one of Puerto Rico’s standout new talents in the early 2020s, Dei V drew global listeners toward his fluid melodic delivery and hungry, sharp-edged lyricism. The freestyle “Quien Es Dei V?” quickly surpassed 100 million streams, paving the way for high-profile joint releases alongside Bryant Myers on “Narcotics” and Karol G on “Gatita Gangster.”

David Gerard Ribera Juarbe entered the world in Santa Fe, Puerto Rico, and launched his recording path under the guidance of Yeruza and YOVNGCHIMI’s imprint Moneywayy. His first offering arrived in 2020 as a melodic reinterpretation of Myke Towers’ “Llegara (Underwater Version).” Early singles such as “Las Cosas Han Cambiau” and “Dame Lu,” the latter earning praise from Bad Bunny, began to build regional awareness, leading to the 2021 debut EP Yin Yang. Further momentum arrived in 2022 through “Quieren Ser Yo” and a guest spot on Omar Courtz’ “Los Dueños de la Calle,” yet the decisive breakthrough came with the boast-driven “VVS,” which crossed a million streams within months. That success was eclipsed by “Quien Es Dei V?,” whose confident cadence and pointed lines accumulated over 100 million streams in its opening year.

The ensuing commercial traction sparked an extensive series of 2023 pairings. Karol G, Jay Wheeler on “Pacto,” Sky Rompiendo on “Crush,” Cris Mj on “Diabólica,” YOVNGCHIMI on “TU$$I,” Chris Jedi on “Notón,” and Blessd on “Fendi & Valentino” all sought his contributions, while Dei V in turn secured Myke Towers for the “Trending Remix” and Bryant Myers for “Narcotics.” In 2024 he joined Chris Jedi and Gaby Music for the follow-up project Los Marcianos, Vol. 1: Dei V Version, then appeared on the Academy’s “Si Si Si Si” and contributed a verse to Saiko’s chart-topping “BADGYAL.”
