Born in Australia and now based in Nashville, Quinn Lewis crafts emotive electro-pop as a singer and songwriter. His breakthrough arrived after the R&B-tinged single “Slipping” went viral in 2017, topping HypeMachine’s blog aggregator and cementing a growing audience. That year also brought a publishing agreement with Prescription Songs. Before that visibility, he had spent years sharpening his skills through Belmont University’s program in Nashville while performing at open-mike nights. The exposure prompted comparisons to Sam Smith, Frank Ocean, and James Blake.

Although Brisbane is his hometown, Lewis’s childhood involved frequent family relocations that took him through New Zealand, North Carolina, and Los Angeles. A guitar given by his parents at age 13 sparked intermittent playing until high school ignited his interest in songwriting. Following graduation, he moved to Nashville to develop his craft and enrolled in Belmont’s renowned music curriculum. At first his focus rested on conventional pop structures, and he began capturing his ideas on tape. He briefly formed a band with his guitarist roommate and cut an EP, only to decide the collaboration did not suit his direction.

After two years at Belmont, Lewis withdrew to devote himself fully to music. Working alone at home on a computer, he rebuilt his approach until he connected with producer and drummer Danen Reed. Together they reshaped his compositions into atmospheric electronic anthems marked by dynamic arrangements. Their first joint release, the 2016 Addicted EP, spotlighted the yearning title track. In 2018 Lewis made his SXSW debut and issued the well-received singles “In Between” and “Weekend Luv,” followed in 2019 by “Hurt Me Now” and “Make It Right.”
