Biography
In Los Angeles, Weathers crafts stylishly cool indie rock marked by propulsive anthems built for the dancefloor. Listeners first took notice via the 2016 single "Happy Pills," which climbed to number 21 on the Billboard Alternative Songs chart.
Vocalist Cameron Boyer and guitarist Cameron Olsen first crossed paths in 2012 at a battle of the bands in Manhattan Beach, a Los Angeles suburb. Weathers officially assembled by 2015 once bassist Brennen Bates and drummer Cole Carson joined the fold. After signing with RCA Records, the band delivered its debut single "I Don't Wanna Know," a swaggeringly moody cut that recalled the work of Walk the Moon and The Neighbourhood. Momentum built quickly, securing the group a slot at SXSW in March 2016. Follow-up single "Happy Pills" expanded their reach further, becoming the most added track at rock radio in July 2016. The Kids in the Night EP surfaced in 2018 and spotlighted the single "1983."
