Hailing from Los Angeles, the three-piece outfit Sir Sly specializes in atmospheric, hook-driven pop laced with electronic elements. Their 2014 debut album You Haunt Me climbed into the Top Ten of Billboard’s Alternative Albums chart, while the 2017 follow-up Don’t Worry, Honey drew wider notice through its standout track “High.” Songs by the band have also appeared on series such as 13 Reasons Why and Riverdale, and they issued a third studio effort, The Rise & Fall of Loverboy, in 2021.

The group came together in 2012 with vocalist Landon Jacobs joined by bassist and multi-instrumentalist Jason Suwito plus drummer and multi-instrumentalist Hayden Coplen. After unveiling You Haunt Me in 2014, propelled by the singles “Ghost” and “Gold,” the record peaked at number 14 on the Billboard Alternative Albums chart. The ensuing year found them on the road while developing fresh material, which surfaced as the standalone single “Expectations” in 2016.

Sir Sly returned in 2017 with the sophomore album Don’t Worry, Honey and supported it with a summer tour. The set featured “High,” which reached number three on the Billboard Alternative Airplay chart and landed placements on both Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why and the CW’s Riverdale. Another track from the project, “&Run,” also became a Top Ten hit on the Alternative Airplay survey. In 2020 the band offered “All Your Love” and “Material Boy,” the latter of which later appeared on their 2021 release The Rise & Fall of Loverboy.
