Biography
In 2011, songwriters Drake Margolnick and Michael Finster set aside their separate solo projects to launch Flagship together. Longtime fixtures on the Charlotte, North Carolina circuit, Finster exited his band Campbell to play drums while Margolnick reworked his solo catalog for the new duo. Channeling the force of early U2 plus strands of Americana and mainstream rock, Flagship cultivated a swirling, atmospheric style that earned them a deal with California indie Bright Antenna Records. Their first EP, Blackbush, arrived in 2012, followed in 2013 by a self-titled LP. Steady touring and recording yielded the 2015 EP Faded and the second album The Electric Man in early 2017.
