Biography
Hailing from Boston, Magic Man operate as a five-piece ensemble devoted to melodic indie rock with strong dance leanings. The project originated in 2010 as a laptop-driven duo centered on Alex Caplow’s vocals and Sam Vanderhoop Lee’s guitars and keyboard, issuing its sole release under that configuration, the album Real Life Color. Expansion followed with the arrival of Justine Bowe on keyboards, Daniel Radin on bass, and Joey Sulkowski on drums, transforming the lineup into a complete rock band. In 2013 the group delivered the EP You Are Here. Its second studio album, Before the Waves, appeared during summer 2014 through Neon Gold/Columbia.
