Originating in Memphis, the Band Camino merge bright indie rock with expansive, romantic electro-pop textures. Their independently issued early tracks, including the luminous "2/14" and the expansive piano-driven "The Black and White," generated substantial streaming traction during the second half of the 2010s and paved the way for their self-titled 2021 full-length debut on Elektra Records. That album reached the Heatseekers Top Ten, prompting two years of extensive touring before the 2023 sophomore release The Dark, which led the same chart. A three-track EP titled Bruises surfaced in 2024.

The four musicians, longtime friends Jeffrey Jordan (vocals, guitar), Spencer Stewart (vocals, guitar), Graham Rowell (bass), and Andrew Isbell (drums), came together as the Band Camino in 2015 while enrolled at the University of Memphis. Drawing from the Killers, Walk the Moon, and Colony House alongside the vibrant cultural backdrop of their hometown, they issued their first EP, My Thoughts on You, independently in 2016. Both the atmospheric title track and the buoyant pop number "2/14" drove notable streaming attention. Heaven, a second EP, arrived in 2017, the same period when Isbell departed and was succeeded by Garrison Burgess.

Relocating their base to Nashville, the Band Camino sustained their momentum with strong streaming figures for 2018 releases such as "Less Than I Do" and "Know Me." Following a major-label agreement with Elektra, they put out the tryhard EP in 2019. Rowell exited the lineup in April 2020 amid sexual misconduct allegations, reducing the group to a trio with Burgess shifting to bass. After previewing material through several singles, the Band Camino delivered their self-titled debut album in September 2021, which peaked at number five on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. A sequence of 2023 singles, among them the forceful "Told You So" and "See You Later," joined "What Am I Missing?" on the band's second LP, The Dark, issued by Elektra that August. Surpassing the first album's performance, The Dark claimed the top spot on the Heatseekers chart and reached number 112 on the Billboard 200. Early 2024 brought the three-song EP Bruises, featuring the luminous single "Nostalgia."
