Diafrix

Diafrix, a duo closely tied to the independent Australian imprint Illusive Sounds, brings together Azmarino and Momo, two African refugees who first crossed paths at an arts center located in Footscray, a suburb of Melbourne. They joined forces in 2003 and shaped an approachable, energetic style of rap that drew from funk and reggae influences. Following an extended period spent sharpening their stage abilities, the pair issued their first full-length effort, In tha Place, during 2006. In the stretch separating that project from the 2009 follow-up Concrete Jungle, the duo maintained a busy touring schedule that encompassed slots at both Glastonbury and Big Day Out. Their third album, Pocket Full of Dreams, arrived in 2012.
