Dimlite

Swiss producer Dimitri Grimm balances membership in the pop duo the Slapped Eyeballers with lo-fi recordings issued as Misel Quitno, while also generating instrumental hip-hop beats under the Dimlite alias. The 2003 EP A/DD preceded the full-length albums Runbox Weathers and This Is Embracing, both issued by Berlin-based Sonar Kollektiv; those releases brought underground hip-hop recognition and comparisons to Flying Lotus, Ras G, and several atmospheric beatmakers from the Stones Throw roster. Now-Again Records presented Dimlite’s third album, Grimm Reality, in 2011 on CD and as a set of three 10” records.
