Biography

Kemar Christopher Dwaine Ottey, known to audiences as Ding Dong, works as a dancehall vocalist and dancer who fuses his movement skills directly into his recordings by devising original choreography for each new single.

Born in Nannyville, Jamaica, he confronted an early choice between his commitment to dance and his commitment to football. That tension sharpened once he entered the Flatbush Dance Crew in 2000, a unit that gained traction within two years. In 2003 he launched his own group, Ravers Clavers. Two years later he shifted his focus entirely to music through the 2005 release “Bad Man Forward Bad Man Pull Up.” After establishing himself as a prolific artist with releases on multiple labels, he joined Romeich Entertainment in 2018.
