Rygin King, a dancehall singer and songwriter, built momentum fast through a string of progressively infectious singles that showcased his forceful vocal delivery alongside crisp, lively production. Born Matthew Smith in Montego Bay, Jamaica, he developed a deep attachment to music during his teenage years and named Buju Banton as a central influence on his initial songwriting efforts. Entering his early twenties, he committed to pursuing music professionally and assembled a management team to map out a path forward.
