Biography
Duo Coplanacu, an Argentinean folk group, originated in 1985 when singer/guitarist Roberto Cantos joined forces with singer/percussionist Julio Paz after both had relocated from their native Santiago del Estero to Córdoba to begin performing as a unit. Their self-titled album appeared in 1991 and was followed by Retiro Al Norte. Violinist Andrea Leguizamón subsequently joined the duet, resulting in Paisaje in 1997 and Desde Adentro in 1999. A year later the group released the live album El Encuentro, recorded at la Trastienda.
