During his teenage years, Argentine singer/songwriter Chaqueño Palavecino picked up the guitar and soon joined the trio Pilcomayo. His debut album, Para Mis Abuelos Esta Zamba, was captured in Tucumán in 1987 and succeeded by El Tío Pala in 1989. Participation in the 1998 Cosquin festival marked his breakthrough, after which he rose to headline status at the same longstanding music gathering the following year. Por Culpa De Ser Cantor placed Chaqueño Palavecino inside Argentina’s Top 10 in 2001.
