Biography
Originating in Rome, the symphonic jazz rock quintet Festa Mobile earned strong critical esteem despite its limited visibility, operating under the leadership of brothers Giovanni and Francesco Boccuzzi together with bassist Tonio Napoletano. The ensemble delivered only a single recording, the ambitious concept album Dario Di Vaggio Della Festa Mobile (Diary of the Journey of the Movable Feast), which RCA released in Italy in 1973 before the group dissolved shortly afterward. The Boccuzzis and Napoletano subsequently enlisted drummer Piero Mangini to establish Il Baricentro.
