Jumbo

In March 1997 Eddie González, the former keyboardist of Blueswagen, teamed up with bassist Charly Pornet to launch the Mexican pop/rock band Jumbo. Guitarist Jorge Tamez Chapa, better known as Flip Fantastic, singer/guitarist Alejandro Clemente Castillo, and drummer Enrique González Peláez, who performs as Bugs Wako, soon completed the lineup. Once the musicians had cut several original numbers, BMG offered them a contract in November 1997. The group’s first album, Restaurant, reached stores in 1999. They also recorded a version of “Lo Dudo” for a tribute collection dedicated to Latin star José José. D.D. y Ponle Play appeared two years later.
