Biography
Former University of Idaho music students Cameron Bouiss, Eric Gilbert, and Lisa Simpson first joined forces in 2000. Under the name Finn Riggins, the trio moved to Sun Valley in 2006 to devote themselves fully to their music, spending the following years on the road across the country to earn recognition and grow an audience. Their debut full-length album, A Soldier, a Saint, an Ocean Explorer, appeared in 2007 on the Tender Loving Empire label and earned favorable notices from critics along with support from indie listeners. Additional touring, broader in scope than before, strengthened the group’s standing; by 2009 the members were based in Boise and issued their second album, Vs. Wilderness. They stayed active on tour throughout 2010, wrapping a western U.S. run alongside Built to Spill.
