Vincent Fenton, operating under the alias French Kiwi Juice and its abbreviation FKJ, is a Paris-based multi-instrumentalist and producer whose atmospheric compositions sometimes rely on live looping and at other times merge jazz, soul, and electronic exploration into fresh hybrids. One signature element emerged through the 2017 track “Tadow,” an entirely spontaneous duet with Masego that spread rapidly online and eventually accumulated hundreds of millions of streams. FKJ kept developing his layered approach across subsequent projects, enlisting Toro y Moi and Carlos Santana among the contributors to the 2022 album V I N C E N T. In 2024 he issued 22_23 Live Sessions, a collection drawn from multiple concert dates.

Fenton began his professional path as a theater sound engineer while simultaneously mastering production techniques on his own. Aligning himself with the Roche Musique roster, he helped shape an electronic offshoot known as new French house by blending house rhythms with warmer, acoustic textures early in the 2010s. The label issued a run of EPs, including The Twins in 2012 and Time for a Change the following year. Much of his initial recognition stemmed from digital platforms, prompting him to refine a compelling stage presentation that mirrored his studio work. The Take Off EP appeared in 2014, after which he devoted roughly two years to completing a full-length debut that surfaced in March 2017 on Believe Direct Limited. Shortly thereafter he connected with Jamaican-American vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Masego, leading to a marathon session that yielded the breakout single “Tadow.” The track’s swift popularity elevated both artists, opening doors to major festival slots and further releases such as the 2018 single “Is Magic Gone” and the 2019 EP Ylang Ylang, all sharing the same airy, richly textured aesthetic. Following the Just Piano EP, a set of solo keyboard pieces, FKJ prepared his second album. The June 2022 release V I N C E N T wove together eclectic stylistic experiments and showcased appearances by Little Dragon, Santana, ((( O ))), and Toro y Moi. For 22_23 Live Sessions, issued in 2024, he assembled performances captured at Coachella along with dates in London, Montreal, Paris, and additional tour venues.
