Biography
Hailing from San Diego, Fluf deliver warm-hearted punk-pop that echoes the approach of Sugar and Dinosaur Jr. Prior to this project, guitarist and vocalist O. had teamed with bassist Josh Higgins in Olivelawn; the pair launched fluf in 1992 by recruiting drummer Miles Gillett. The resulting trio issued numerous seven-inch singles, later compiled on the 1995 release The Classic Years, before issuing their first full-length record through Headhunter/Cargo in the middle of 1993. Although that debut carried distinct titles across the CD, cassette, and vinyl editions, it remains widely recognized as Mangravy. Early the next year saw the arrival of both the second album Home Improvements and Compact Disc Is Weak. Waikiki surfaced in 1997, after which the band resurfaced with Road Rage in 1998. I Know I'm Somebody reached listeners in fall 2000.
